MANDELA DAY: REMEMBERING THE CHAMPION OF PEACE & INCLUSION!

Mandela Day is a global call to bring the people around the world together, to fight poverty, and promote peace. It is an annual International Day in honour of Nelson Mandela, our students hosted a special assembly on this day. The assembly started with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra followed by a beautiful thought that had come from Nelson Mandela himself “the greatest glory in living lies not in falling but in rising every time we fall." Students passed on this message to their peer group with full conviction. They all vowed that they won’t be afraid of failure and will strive to become risk-takers, doers, and achievers. Students also made beautiful posters and shared their quotes with everyone.

Theme Water sensitizes children about the usage and need of water for animals, plants, and humans. Children learn a lot about water through different activities and experiments. They build their understanding of water. Presidians build an understanding of the properties of water through various activities wherein they got to know that - Water is tasteless, colorless, and odorless. Students of Grade 2 were engrossed with the activities. While doing this activity they got to know that water doesn't mix with everything, if we mix various things in the water. It changes the taste and smell. Water has no color therefore it changes its color when mixed with various things.
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE WORLD YOUTH SKILL DAY WITH ENTHUSIASM
Skill development is the primary means of enabling young people to make a smooth transition to work. The goal is to achieve better social-economic conditions for today's youth addressing the challenges of society. Youth skill day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Presidium. The celebration started with an activity of poster making & slogan writing in which students expressed their feelings and shared their thoughts. The Students learned and were motivated to maintain the youthful spirit always. In the end, students were given the message that - "Life starts when you start believing in yourself. So before anything else, start believing in yourself, and the world will believe you."
STUDENTS EXPLORE THEIR CREATIVITY WITH ANIMAL MASK ACTIVITY
"Be kind to Animals, it’s never too easy to nurture kids with kindness."
Animals are some of the greatest friends and companions that we have. How we treat and respect animals reflects who we are as a person. Students of Grade Nur & Prep were involved in the Animal Mask Making activity as well as they were introduced to the new TBL theme: Animals. Mask Making is one of the most enjoyable crafts that children can be engaged in. The activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in children and offer them a platform to show their skills in mask Making. Students used a variety of paper and plastic plates, masks, headbands, eye masks, and so on. It inspired children to think and work creatively. The objective of the task was to give an opportunity to students to show their creative skills and talk about their favourite Animals.
STUDENTS UNLEASH THEIR TALENT AT DRAWING & COLORING COMPETITION
Drawing and coloring is visual art that allows students to uncover their natural talent in sketching and illustrations. Keeping this in mind and exploring the creative potential in the young minds of children, Presidium who always encourages students' participation in competitions for holistic development of students, organized a virtual Drawing and Colouring Competition for the students of grades 1,2 and 3. The competition was based on different themes like Magical scenes underwater, My dreamland, etc. The students showcased their talent and artistic skills while drawing the pictures, and the result was amazing artwork. This fun-filled activity witnessed enthusiastic participation by all students.
PRESIDIANS TAKE INSPIRATION FROM GREAT PERSONALITIES
बचपन उस कच्ची मिट्टी के समान होता है जिसे उचित मार्गदर्शन से आकार प्रदान कर हम न केवल युवा पीढ़ी बल्कि एक उत्कृष्ट समाज का भी निर्माण कर सकते हैं। हमारे देश में कई ऐसे महान व्यक्ति हुए हैं जिनका जीवन हमारे लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत है।जो हमारी जिंदगी बदल सकते हैं। प्रेरक प्रसंग हमें प्रोत्साहित करते हैं, जीने की कला सिखाते हैं तथा अच्छे संस्कारों का निर्माण करते हैं। इसी उद्देश्य को ध्यान में रखते हुए कक्षा 5 के विद्यार्थियों ने हिंदी की गतिविधि प्रेरक प्रसंग आयोजित की। जिसमें सभी विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साह पूर्वक बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया । उन्होंने अनेक महापुरुषों जैसे स्वामी विवेकानंद जी, महात्मा गांधी, अब्दुल कलाम आदि के जीवन से जुड़े हुए प्रसंग व रामायण, महाभारत और गीता जैसे महान ग्रंथ से भी प्रसंग प्रस्तुत किए। इस गतिविधि के माध्यम से बच्चों में नई उमंग व चेतना का संचार हुआ व उन्होंने प्रभाव पूर्ण जीवन जीने का निश्चय किया।
PRESIDIANS HAVE FUN WITH SYMMETRY IN MATHEMATICS ACTIVITY
Everything around you is mathematics. Everything around you is numbers. Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit, including a study of numbers, patterns, symmetry, etc. Students of Presidium did an activity of drawing the half part of an image with the help of the other half wherein they got to know that symmetry is what we see at a glance; based on the fact that there is no reason for any difference. Students folded a photo state copy of the image and drew the other half on a sheet. They had fun while completing the image. They learned that a shape is symmetrical when it can be folded into two equal parts.
NATIONAL DOCTORS’ DAY: SALUTING THE FRONTLINE WARRIORS, DOCTORS!
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but if the doctor is cute (like our student), forget about the fruit."
Doctor's day was celebrated atPresidium where students enjoyed being dressed as Doctors and with keen interest explained the pieces of equipment they had accompanied. Presidium celebrated National Doctor's Day with a virtual celebration by giving tribute and honoring our corona warriors. Students of Classes Nursery to 5 participated in the assembly with great enthusiasm. The theme of the celebration was safety and precaution while at the same time honoring the Doctors for being lifesavers. Doctors are special, and this year is one where we have seen them as our real-life heroes. We thank the medical fraternity for their selfless contributions. They are pulling long hours and working round the clock as the world is gripped with this pandemic.

Yoga is an ancient art form, known for its amazing health benefits. It is the gateway of happiness.Tto emphasize the importance of this discipline, Presidium school celebrated The Word Yoga Day with full enthusiasm and zeal. All the students participated in the event and enjoyed to the fullest.
MESMERIZING PERFORMANCES BY PRESIDIANS ON WORLD MUSIC DAY
Celebrating the glorious tradition of World Music Day, the Presidians of Grade Nursery, Prep and Grade 1, delivered a musical introspection of their culture. A mesmerizing prayer medley was performed by the students, which was amalgamation of The Gayitri mantra, Shlokas and english prayers. A refreshing and mesmerizing performance by students of Grade 1 rendered an engaging experience to the exuberant audience. It was indeed a lyrical journey creating memories for a lifetime
