PRESIDIANS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF LOVE AND PEACE ON HOLI!
The premises of Presidium Vivek Vihar was infused with vibrant and vivacious colours symbolising the young, energetic and zealous lives that represent the leaders of tomorrow.
The students from grade Nur to 5 gathered together to celebrate this festival of colours. They witnessed a beautiful dance performance and showered love and colours on everyone. Following it, was an informative as well as an engaging skit wherein the students were made to introspect and reflect on their behaviour during holi celebrations. A message on safe holi was delivered. Students relished sweets and exchanged wishes with their friends and teachers and promised to renew their lives with love, harmony and peace.
ENGLISH WEEK: PRESIDIANS BRING TO LIFE THEIR FAVOURITE CHARACTERS
Acknowledging the importance of English language in today's world, Presidium Vivek vihar celebrated English Day. It was organized to culminate the stories done in last quarter. Students were dressed up and enacted important characters from their favourite stories like Tenali Raman & Birbal. It was a way to give stage exposure, of learning by doing and recapitulating the contents. The enthusiasm showcased by students was indeed a reward for their teachers.
PRESIDIANS ENTHUSIASTICALLY PARTICIPATE IN THE 'TBL' ACTIVITY
In order to provide an exemplary opportunity to the imagination of tiny tots, the teachers integrated and culminated the topics - Transport and vacation. Children learnt by visualization and discussion. They expressed their views freely which was evident from the responses they exhibited. It gave them exposure to open up with their thoughts. Overall it was an interactive session which in term enhanced the confidence of students.
APPRECIATION DAY: AWARDING CERTIFICATES TO MERITORIOUS PRESIDIANS
To develop a constant feeling of gratitude and a sound consciousness of God's boundless favours, Presidium Vivek Vihar celebrated a day of gratitude to acknowledge and appreciate these efforts. The bulletin boards highlighted the memories of the achievements which in turn was an element of motivation and anticipation. Students were able to relate to the feelings and felt a sense of belongingness in their class and community. This ethical gesture was indeed a gratifying experience which filled the hearts with joy and contentment.
PRESIDIANS PRESENT BEAUTIFUL ENACTMENTS AT ROLE PLAY COMPETITION
“To become a better you, remember to be grateful to people who have contributed to making you who you are today.” Community Helpers are people in professions that directly impact the lives of others. Community Helpers deliver a service that makes our lives easier. It is important for all of us to know the ways in which Community Helpers work. In many ways, community helpers remind us of how inter -connected is our lives. Students of Grade Prep had an activity in which they dressed up as Community Helpers belonging to different professions. This activity helped to instill in them respect for all professions and learn to value them better. They enacted their roles with realistic props alongwith appropriate words.
PRESIDIANS SOAK IN DEVOTION AS THEY CELEBRATE MAHASHIVRATRI!
"Fire is His head, the sun and moon His eyes, space His ears, the Vedas His speech, the wind His breath, the universe His heart. From His feet the Earth has originated. Verily, He is the inner self of all beings." Maha shivratri Or great night is a festival celebrated in reverence of Lord Shiva. A special assembly was organised in Presidium Vivek Vihar, on the eve of shivratri.
The sacred mantra of shiva ' Om NAmah Shivaya' was chanted to begin the celebration. Little presidians of grade prep did dance performance on Shiv Tandava and a theatre act on Shivaji's marriage with parvati ji. Children of grade 2 enchanted the shiva mantra's in sanskrit. Children were dressed up in beautiful attires. The programme concluded with an address by the School Head.
PRESIDIANS LEARN CONCEPTS OF MATHEMATICS IN AN INTERESTING WAY
Presidium has always tried innovative teaching techniques to introduce difficult concepts of Mathematics. A Math Activity was recently organised at Presidium Vivek Vihar to make young Presidians understand various mathematical concepts. Students used various tools like blocks and cards to learn the concepts. It was a great learning experience for all the young leaders of tomorrow.
PRESIDIANS DISPLAY THEIR CREATIVE TALENT AT DRAWING COMPETITION
The young artists of Presidium Vivek Vihar brought out their creative side at the recently held drawing competition. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to bring out their creative expression on the paper by creating beautiful drawings on various relevant themes. We congratulate all the winners and participants for their enthusiasm!
YOUNG DANCERS DISPLAY THEIR GRACEFUL POSES AND SWIFT MOVES!
‘Dancing is an art, the floor is the canvas and I am the brush... whatever I create comes from the heart.’ A Dance Competition was recently held for the students of grade 1 and 3. Young dancers were thrilled to be a part of colourful, vibrant and energizing event. Hands, feet and bodies, adorned in colourful costumes twirled, flipped and jumped on the stage. Different kinds of dance forms like patriotic and western were performed by the pupils. They even used interesting props like hat, chairs, stick. The choreography, rhythm, synchronisation and presentation of all the students were par excellence. Ms. Seema Anand, Branch Head congratulated the winners and appreciated the performances of the students, encouraging them to participate more in such competition to enhance their talents.
AD MAD COMPETITION: PRESIDIANS BRING OUT THEIR CREATIVITY!
Our Young Presidians of grade 4 and 5 participated in Ad Mad Competition on 18th Jan 2019. Children exhibited their inner and hidden talents and dramatised an act showcasing a product of daily use. In different groups, They presented the advertisements of different products. The Competition helped the children to enhance their stage presentation skills, voice modulation, confidence etc and it gave an exposure of media and creativity to them.
